Section through cantilevered glass bridge cast from basalt formation into sandstone fossil archive. The bridge is a path between two landscapes, two periods in history and two distinct parts of an architectural program; museum-laboratory and archive. The bridge, being supported only by the enduring and stable basalt formation, describes and measures the nature of each distinct landscape. Over time the relatively durable glass structure of the bridge will act as a datum, registering the erosion of the soft sandstone.
